国王在第二轮第39顺位挑中了奎塔。他此前就读于犹他州大，平均得13.2分、9个篮板、2个助攻和2.5个盖帽，非常全面。
他在防守上有独到之处。2019年和2021年都成为MWC区的最佳防守球员。在大学三个赛季，他都入选MWC区最佳防守阵容。2020-21赛季，他创下了纪录，总共盖帽97个，平均每场3.3个。（吴哥）
